"Just kill the Flares."
Nothing fancy. That's it.
It's the single most successful strategy I've used. When we've used that strategy, he's gone down in a single attempt every single time. When I've been in raids with other strategies, he's been a lot more troublesome. We'd wipe at least twice unless we were overgeared anyway.

Details? Well, if you insist:
One tank on the Curator. Just hold on to him.
One healer on the tank. One healer with group heals on the rest of the raid. One spot healer to top off whoever needs it (usually Hateful Bolt victims). All healers take care of the tank when the Curator enrages at 15%. You may be able to get away with two healers if you have a Shadow Priest.
Everyone else, attack the Flares. You may attack the Curator only when there are no Flares up. I don't care if he's Evocating. Kill the damn Flares in whatever way is fastest for your character. Set up a macro: "/targetexact Astral Flare". Hit it whenever a Flare spawns, then kill the Flare. Use your damage-boost cooldowns right before the Evocation, so you can kill the last Flare faster and spend more time hitting the Curator for triple damage.
That's it. Just kill the Flares.
What Not to Do
There are several things that sound like good ideas, but turn out hurt more than they help. So:
Don't assign a Hateful Bolt soaker. Just kill the Flares.
Don't wear arcane resistance gear. Wear your maximum DPS gear and just kill the Flares.
Don't attempt to tank the Flares. Just kill them.
Don't attack the Curator immediately when he Evocates. Kill the the last Flare first. Yes, yes, I know you're missing out on some triple damage by doing this. I know the fight will last that much longer. Kill the Flare anyway.
Don't assign complex positions. Tell people to move wherever they need to go to kill the Flares. If people insist on positions, have them bunch up in melee range behind the Curator so the melee damage-dealers don't have to waste time running to catch up with the Flares.
The reason to avoid these tricks is that they all get in the way of killing the Flares faster.
Why it Works
Here's why this strategy works: The faster you kill the Flare, the sooner it stops hurting your raid and stops interrupting your casters. You don't have to heal as much, and you get more time to damage the Curator before the next Flare. Also, this strategy is easy enough that nobody is going to mess it up. It's that simple.
Just.
Kill.
The.
Damn.
Flares.
